No Cellular Service

This morning my iPhone13 did not have cell service.  Everything else on the phone works.  I called tech support and after over an hour the person told me that she did not know what to do and to go to a store.  At the store, the employee called tech support, inserted a new physical SIM, reset several things and could not make the cell service work.  I was told I could get a used phone or upgrade to a new phone for $35/mo.  When I asked to speak to a supervisor and asked how to file a complaint, the employee asked for her phone back (I had been talking to tech support on her phone) and told me she had other customers to help.  When I asked the  tech support person on the phone to speak to a supervisor, she said she would have someone call me on my other phone number - that has not happened.

The employee told me that I was the 4th person to come in this morning with the same issue and they had only been open for 10 minutes.  She said that they get multiple people on a daily basis with the same issue and sometimes they can fix it and sometimes they can't. A quick search on the internet showed that this is an extremely common problem with Verizon and unless you are willing to constantly reset your network settings and/or replace your SIM card (neither worked in my case), Verizon tells you that you have to buy a new phone.

I would appreciate suggestions on how to fix the cell service on my phone because an additional $35/mo on top of the monthly plan is too expensive. I am also hesitant to buy a new phone when this seems to be a problem with Verizon service not the phone.

Hi Lyoung124, I would feel hesitant as well about purchasing a new device if I wasn't clear on why. While you have provided a lot of details there are still some missing pieces we would need to explore to determine if a new device is the best option or not. We'll be sending a Private Message so we can review your account.
