Not receiving text messages from apps

Hi,

I just set up my new iPhone XS Max tonight and I was going through my apps and logging into them when many of them asked to verify it was me through a code sent to my phone through text. I am unable to receive any of these text messages with the verification codes which is preventing me from logging into any of my apps. Please help because it is important that I am able to access all of my accounts.

greggfox1, are you using your native messaging app? IHave you tried using another messaging app to see if your texts will come through that way?
