I have an iPhone. I can inconsistently not receiving texts from specific iPhone users, and they are a mixture of people who have Verizon and ATT . I always receive messages from these people if THEY turn off iMessage on their side. I usually don’t have enough cell service to send iMessages but I’m confused on why if they have good service why I wouldn’t receive their messages with iMessage. I have some friends who use iMessage and I receive their texts consistently. Why would I get iMessages from some and not others?

Happy Friday! Dealing with messaging issues can be frustrating, especially when this occurs with certain users. Verizon is here to help.
When did the issue start? What recent changes have you made? Who else is experiencing this problem? Aside from this messaging dilemma, any other problems?

fbivan, thank you for the additional information. I know this may sound strange, but have you always had an iPhone? It could be possible that they have your contact saved in a way that doesn't show it as an iPhone so the message isn't sending properly. You shared that you typically don't have enough cell service to send iMessages, have you ever been able to receive an iMessage from these users either with your current device or a previous device?

I don't have an iPhone, but if your cellular signal is often weak (?) - you mentioned not being able to use iMessages much - not being able to receive texts or texts coming in with huge delays, or missing calls is one of the problems which occurs when your service isn't good.
I'm not a Verizon employee, just another customer trying to help.
