i just purchased the iphone 16 and im trying to transfer my number from my iphone 13 mini and the data transfer went fine but my number isn't carrying over. it says that my account is ineligible for transfer... though i ordered it straight from verizon.. worked perfectly fine when i ordered it through apple last time.. this is so annoying. I see others have the same issues. any help?

Is this for a postpaid or prepaid account? Have you tried installing the SIM card from the old phone into the new phone?
