Hello,
I hope you’re doing well. I’m writing to request an unlock for my Verizon device.
I currently live in Kazakhstan, and a friend of mine purchased this phone for me as a gift while visiting the United States. Since I’m outside the U.S., I can’t use Verizon service here, and I’d like to use the phone with my local carrier.
Could you please help me unlock the device or let me know if there’s anything I need to do to make it eligible for unlocking?
Here are the details of the device:
Model: iPhone SE 2022
Thank you very much for your time and assistance.
Best regards,
Sergei

We would love to help point the way for you to know how to use that phone. The phone must be active on Verizon's network for at least 60 days before it will be eligible to unlock. If this is not a possibility, we would recommend looking at replacement or return options because we don't have a way to override things. We hope this helps!

Hello robertlerry. Devices that you purchase from Verizon are locked for 60 days after purchase. Devices that you purchase from one of our authorized retailers are locked for 60 days after activation. After 60 days, we will automatically remove the lock unless the device is deemed stolen or purchased fraudulently. Following the 60-day lock period, we do not lock our phones at any time.

I hate to tell you this, but your friend was ripped off and needs to get a refund from the seller. This is an extremely common problem with phones purchased second-hand through unknown vendors. There is no way to get the phone unlocked because you are not the original owner and the history of the phone cannot be vetted.
I'm not a Verizon employee, just another customer trying to help.
