Poor signal at Home

Hi. I have lives at my current address for 20 yrs and never had an issue with cellular service. I am in Essex county NJ. In the last year service has downgraded significantly. I cannot make or receive calls in my kitchen and service is spotty at best in other parts of the house. What has changed? How can this be fixed or do I need to change providers?
