Dear US version,
I hope this message finds you well. I am a student in China, and I am reaching out for assistance with an iPhone 15 Pro Max (US version) that I purchased brand new from the market in China.
I acquired the device in a sealed, unopened box on February 18, 2025, from what I believed to be a reputable seller. Unfortunately, I have since discovered that the phone has been blacklisted, preventing me from using it on any network.
After some research, I found that the phone's IMEI has been blacklisted, likely due to issues that occurred before my purchase. I had no prior knowledge of this situation when buying the device, as I received it in its original packaging.
I kindly request your help in unlocking the phone and removing the blacklist status, as I am currently unable to use it. I fully understand the importance of your policies and am happy to provide any documentation or information that would assist in resolving this issue.
I sincerely hope for your understanding and a positive resolution to my case. Your assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you for your time and support.
Best regards,
[Abdelmalek]

Hi, sorry to tell you this, but you won't be able to get that phone off the blacklist or unlocked. You need to contact the seller and ask for a refund. Unfortunately, I see this sort of thing happening all the time where phones were "lost" in shipment to a customer in the US and then someone overseas later wonders why they have a Verizon phone that doesn't work.
I'm not a Verizon employee, just another customer trying to help.
