Restocking fee

I have been a Verizon customer for 30 years and just recently purchased an upgraded phone , an IPhone 15 for my daughter. Unfortunately I purchased a blue one when she wanted the pink one. I took the new phone to my local Verizon store within a couple days of purchase and made an exchange for the pink one. The box was unopened and they were going to add it to their new inventory. I made an easy and simple exchange. However I was still charged a restocking fee of $53.00. It was a disappointment to get that fee being a lifelong customer and after purchasing a $1000 phone only to do an even exchange. What can be done to get that fee waived?

Hi Huey416. Thank you for reaching out here and sharing your recent experience. And thank you for being a long time loyal customer, 30 years is nothing to sneeze at. Even though there is a case on the phone most of the time, one can be particular with the color. It is good to have this attention to detail as a young adult. Anyway, Please reply to the private message that will follow and we can look at options for you,
