SIM and eSIM for a Second Line

I have a Host VOIP Phone with a number that I want to move to my iPhone 15 Max and have it ring as a second line/number.  Where can I find instructions on how to do this and just general information regarding the implications?  I am not entirely sure it will work the way it does in my head, but I cant really find any information on it.

MarkMCarson,

Your old phone will work during the transfer process, while your new Verizon Wireless phone will be able to make but not receive phone calls.

Wireless numbers usually take 4-24 hours to transfer, while landline numbers can take 2-10 business days.

We'll send you a free text to let you know when you're all set.

If your new phone doesn't work after the transfer time, please call 888.844.7095 from another phone and the Port Center will help you. Click here for details https://www.verizon.com/switch-to-verizon/  -Pamela

Please take a look at this link with steps to set up call forwarding: https://www.verizon.com/support/call-forwarding-faqs/. Does this help?

Hi Rita - I am actually looking to port the old number from my desk phone to my iphone.  My desk phone is an expensive paperweight but I want to keep the number.

Thanks for clarifying! We would love to see you be able to enjoy the Dual SIM capabilities. It would be best to check if the number can be "Ported" by entering it at https://www.verizon.com/switch-to-verizon/

I checked and the number is eligible for porting.  Do you have some documentation about the process?  My main concern is that I don't want lose my existing wireless number.
