SIM failure

verizonuser808808

I'm currently abroad and experiencing a SIM failure. I've tried popping it out and putting it back in couple times. Still showing failure.

I'm also not able to login and receive assistance / support due to not being able to verify my login due to not having text messaging access due to the SIM failure. I'm also not able to call the customer service number provided on other related threads because I have SIM failure.

Hey verizonuser808808, we're sorry to hear that your SIM card seems to be failing. This would definitely impact your ability to call for support, as the SIM card is what tells the phone what service is available. The great news is that you can get a brand-new SIM card at no cost at our corporate store locations (there may be a charge for a SIM card at other Verizon retail locations). Find the nearest store here: https://www.verizon.com/stores/

Thanks, Joseph - I am currently abroad IN SWITZERLAND and don’t have access to a Verizon store, and I would also need to make sure I will maintain my ability to use my phone abroad since I paid for one month of international service. Are you able to mail me a SIM if I give you the address of where I am staying? And would it arrive in the next 8 days?

Hi Joseph - Update from me here: I was able to activate an eSIM with the assistance of another user / manager on my account.
