Signal strength

Anybody else have fewer bars (dots) than they did before? My iPhone 4 always gave me 4 bars. The new 5s shows 1, sometimes 2 - but no more. This from a location I know always gave me 4. Royal pain trying to stay online with the thing. Apple having another antenna problem?

Thanks.

The iPhone 4 would have only shown the voice network strength. The iPhone 5S will probably show the level of signal it is connected to voice or data (LTE). The actual dBm level and signal type is important. The bars can be misleading.

I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.

Misleading bars is definitely an understatement! Unfortunately when it gets down to 1 - which is most frequent - everything stops. With 9M+ of these things out the door I can't be the only one.

Thank you for your answer.
