I JUST bought a new IPhone at an "official" verizon store and it does not have a SIM card. On top of that, the person who sold us the phone did not tell us we needed one. I am very frustrated. Should the SIM card have been included?

Congratulations on your new phone, MargaretB1. I'm sorry that you new phone does not have a SIM Card. This is very strange as a new SIM Card is always included with all our new phones.
Did you have a chance to check if the SIM Card is preinstalled inside the new phone (https://www.verizonwireless.com/support/knowledge-base-214946/)?
You can always stop by a corporate Verizon Wireless store and get a free SIM Card for your new phone. How does this sound?
