Slide to close screen pops up without prompt

The slide to close screen appears on my iphone 6 plus without being prompted. Be in the middle of texting, reading, etc. and the screen just randomly appears. Some of the time, it will not read my fingerprintafter I hit the exit button and will have to enter my password. The screen will blank out before you can enter the total password.
