Had $80 in device dollars, the employee had no idea how to use and got on the phone with someone to get information. During the call, this employee, without notifying, completed the transaction without applying the device dollars. At this point was too late to apply them to the purchase.
Also, I was never informed that there was a $40 "setup fee" for the employee to basically power on the phone (in addition to the $40 activation fee). Beyond upset with this experience and with 14 days to return the device, if Verizon does not make up for this event I will pay more to go elsewhere. Absolutely unacceptable the way the employee didn't notify of the setup fee.
This was at a Verizon authorized dealer in Lake Charles, LA.

Third party retailers and authorized dealers might not be able to access the device dollars rewards. You might have to visit a corporate store instead.
I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.

What was preventing you for doing the order yourself online?
Last I went to a cell store for a phone was around 2009.
