Congratulations on your new device, we hope you are continuing to enjoy your new phone. While there is an optional set up and go fee available at our store locations to assist with content transfer, the upgrade fee and taxes for a new device purchase would be in addition to that type of service. The upgrade fee is associated with purchasing a new device either under a device payment plan or at full retail cost through your account with either a Verizon Store, Verizon Authorized retail or a National Retailer where your Verizon account can be accessed. Additionally, taxes are governmental charges are are assessed on any purchase of equipment or services. Please let us know if you have additional questions.
