Text Messages & Missed Calls

My phone is shattered on the front and I am waiting for my new one to come in the mail, but how can I see my missed calls or missed text messages that come through.  I cannot answer my phone and it is bothering me that I cannot find out who is calling me.  I checked my bill online, but it does not update for a day or two.  It is driving me NUTS!!!  lol...I hear the sounds, but I don't know who is calling.  I guess I should have set my tones...that would have helped me a lot. 

Just looking to see if there was another way to tell who is calling me at 2:00am!
