I ordered a new iPhone 13 Pro on October 3, and set up a trade-in for my current iPhone XR. The iPhone 13 is on backorder and may not be shipped until October 22. In the meantime, I am expected to have my current XR sent in by October 18.
My question: what do I do if my new phone arrives after the time when I'm supposed to trade in my current one? If I wait for the new phone, do I lose my trade-in?
This is an update on my situation. My iPhone 13 Pro was shipped sooner than expected, and arrived on October 12. On the Verizon site, I saw one place where I had until November 2 to ship my "old" XR, and another that still had October 18 as a deadline. I shipped my XR to the Verizon trade-in address on October 13. It's due to arrive there by October 19. We'll see how it goes!
