Anyone have luck w/ these instructions in a VZW KB article?

Have had no luck transferring eSIM between 15 and 11 using the built in capability?
VZW Advanced Technical Support team hasn't been able to figure it out.
Old posts here show issue w/ VZW while this works w/ ATT & TMO.
Posting on VZW Reddit has some folks w/ success.
Use case: DIY move my VZW eSIM from nice new phone 15 to old phone 11 when I go hiking, for example.
TYIA for any additional input.
