I purchased a new phone only because of the discount promotion, otherwise I would not have gotten a new phone now. I followed all directions in mailing the trade in back to Verizon in the provided evelope. The phone tracking showed it was picked up and made it about 15 miles and then UPS lost track of the phone. I contact Verizon several times within the time period before losing the trade in discount and asked them to look into where the phone was and gave them the tracking number. I was promised I would not lose my promotional discount but I did. They said the phone seemed to have been lost by UPS. They opened 3 cases and each time, I got no reinstatement of my discount and they just shrugged their shoulders. The fourth time, an agent offered to provide a montly discount, but I have to call each month to ask for the discount to be applied because their system cannot do it automatically. I finally got her to agree to 6 months of discounts before call back, but I feel this is not fair because I am having to do all the work to get what was promised to me. I could not deal with UPS myself because Verizon was the sender. Seems Verizon keeps dropping the ball on this issue as there are over 14 pages of the same complaint.
