Unable to receive group texts all of a sudden, iPhone 14 plus

Hello, I have had my iPhone 14 Plus for more than a year. I have been a part of a family group text the entire time I had my phone. All of a sudden I am unable to get group texts from people who have android phones. They can all receive my texts. My MMS, SMS and iMessage are all on. I restarted my phone and installed the software update. Does anyone know how to fix this?  Thanks!

Hello, HT1234, we know it's important for you to get your messages. You mentioned you've been able to use group messaging on your phone for some time. Do you recall any changes just before this stopped working? Is anyone else on your plan affected?

Good morning, no changes to my knowledge except I did purchase a new phone for someone in my house. I didnโ€™t activate it yet.  No one else on my plan is having this issue. Thanks!

Thanks for that information. You mentioned you have a family group text. Are you running into this issue with this one particular text thread? Do you happen to know if it persists if you were to try a new group text with Android users?

So I am having issues with this particular thread, but if I text the people with android phones individually, they get my texts, but I canโ€™t get theirs.  We tried to create new text groups and I am not getting the responses. I did text in other groups where the other people only have iPhones and everything is working fine. They get my texts and I get theirs.

When did the issue start (did it ever work)? What recent changes have you made? What messaging app are you using? Aside from the group texts problem, any other issues?

Good morning, I called customer service and they did a refresh of data and texts on their end and it resolved my issue. Thanks!

Thank you for sharing those details with me, HT1234. Aside from this thread of Android users, are you having trouble with other Android users in a group text message thread? Do you know if the other users in the thread have also created a new group on their devices, or just on your own device?

Hello, I am having issues with text messages with android users in other group texts and also individual texts. The other users and I tried to make other group texts and I still canโ€™t see their texts. Family advised that it says I left the group, but I did not. They can still see me in there. There was a 588 area code that responded that I left. No one in our group has that area code. Thanks!

I just texted a friend that has an android, she is not in any group messages with me.  She got my text, but I didnโ€™t get hers. She called me and I was able to receive and answer the call.

HT1234, sorry to hear you've been having issues with group texting with those using Androids. While another iPhone man myself, of course I get wanting to stay connected with everyone. I've sent a Private Message, so we can do some troubleshooting and get a few details.

I have an Android phone and was having the same issue. I could not receive SMS or MMS message RCS messages worked just fine. Verizon is having issues with SMS and MMS messages. I was able to getting SMS/MMS messages again by disconnecting and reconnecting my phone from the Verizon network until it worked. You can try turning airplane mode on and off until you get your missing messages. It took about 20 tries before it worked.
