Upgrade fee?

last night the website said upgrade fee waived on online pre-orders. I wake up this morning to place order and now I have to pay an upgrade fee of 20 bucks for each phone? Why is it that long time loyal customers like myself are required to pay a fee every 2 years? I fulfill my contract every 2 years and never miss my payments why do I have to pay an extra 80 bucks just to get the latest phones....ughhh

I just paid the taxes on my pre orders but we are also on edge plans.

Mine was charged the @$20 fee as well. Once again....VZW Rep Promised as soon as the phone was processed and billed(which I paid upfront for) they can issue a credit.
