I had a 10xs with apple music for 6 months. Cancelled it after 10 months. Upgraded plan and then phone to 12 pro. I should (according to three verizon reps) have another free six months of apple music. I have tried many times over several weeks to add apple music through the web site or phone app and each time says I have to pay 9.99 a month. I tried going through apple music, too, with no success.
I made sure I don't have the apple music family plan enabled on my or my children's phones. Also made sure none of us show up in each other's contacts as LINKED (found this causes an in issue for some people during my own research). I also have deleted apple music and reinstalled it. It is very frustrating. And when I chat with verizon online it is so slow. I think they are handling multiple customers at once. If so many people are having issues verizon should have a support section for users to use for trouble shooting on their own since the reps can't seem to figure it out.
If anyone knows how to resolve this issue please let me know. I cannot spend another 45 min to an hour with verizon doing the same things over and over with no solution. Thank you!

Most companies don't give new free trials after you already used it before. If you had your 6 months already, you had your promo.
If you can afford a 1k phone, you can afford a $10 month subscription.

sunnyroo, we do want to clear up any confusion there may be with the Apple Music promotion. If you have already used 6 months of the free Apple Music on a plan you had with us in the past, you would not be able to receive an additional 6 months of free Apple Music. Your options at this time would be to pay for the subscription or to move to our Get More Unlimited plan. We hope that this clears up any confusion that has happened. AliciaD_VZW

I asked every verizon rep I chatted with either online or live if having an existing free six months would affect getting another free six months after changing to Start Unlimited (after completing 2 years of the old plan) and they stated NO. ALL of them. And this would apply for the three phones I have under my name.
Considering at least four people told me this I would expect a free six months. This was part of the reason why I switched to that plan. Whether or not I can afford the $10 (or $30 for 3 phones) a month is irrelevant.

We certainly want to ensure that proper expectations are set and that you receive the correct features for the plan you have. Was the Apple Music subscription the only draw to the Start Unlimited plan when you switched?
