Upgraded my phone but credit hasn't been applied after multiple billing cycles

Recently got my phone upgraded to an iPhone 14, and they told me that a credit would be applied where my bill would only be an extra $5 but it's been two billing cycles and this credit has still not been applied.
I'm beyond frustrated because the rep I spoke to in the store guaranteed this would not be a problem. Now I'm stuck with an extra $20 on my phone bill. Has anyone experienced this and how did you get it resolved?

I've heard it can take 2 billing cycles before the credits start getting applied on the 3rd one, but hopefully someone with Verizon CS will respond. There are definitely cases where someone's trade-in or other promotion got lost in the shuffle.
Makes you wonder about the 36 month "device contract" or whatever you want to call it then: If one can go 2 billing cycles before the credit starts showing up, doesn't that mean the customer has to stick around for 38 months then to not be reneging on whatever the deal is?
I'm not a Verizon employee, just another customer trying to help.

We want to help with your concern. Was this a promotion for trading in a device? ~Peter
