Using Disney+ on a Vizio TV without AirPlay

I successfully watched Disney+ without using AirPlay. I subscribed to D+ through Verizon per their promo offer (free 1st yr). I signed in using an iMac. All devices on same home wifi. I downloaded the Vizio app to my iPhone (pby could have done this on iMac). Then I accessed D+ using SmartCast on TV. This app was made available on Vizios in Feb. 2020. I had to sign in with my credentials, using the keyboard available on the Vizio app on my phone. Worked great! After considerable research, I could not find these simple steps anywhere. Please share, and someone please develop a YouTube to help others.
