Veiron Store at 8040 Woodbridge Pkwy Ste 100, Sachse, TX 75048 ripped me off, sold me on a lot of lies and even talk to Verizon Corporate on their unethical services. Stay away! My story as follows. Back in 2022 Christmas I lost my iPhone, I was on a insurance full coverage plan, I went to the store to get replace, they confirmed yes my insurance covered, I can buy a new iPhone, pay the deductible and I was pretty happy. Fast forward 1.5 years, found out they were charging me monthly Verizon for the new iPhone, they didn't follow the Warranty/Insurance claim process properly, and I just recently had to transfer out of a family plan to my own individual plan. I had to fork over the rest which was $800 + the pro-rated costs the past 1.5 years. Went back and forth with Verizon they concluded this Verizon store ethics and information they told me were horribly wrong. I'm so angry with this store and the fact I paid full price on a phone, paid insurance costs for nothing, and they lied to my face is awful ethics.

Hey there, donmasta84, I'm sorry to hear you were under the impression an insurance claim was filed when an upgrade was processed instead. I understand this incident happened over a year ago. When looking at an insurance claim, if you pay monthly on your bill for Asurion insurance, a claim will need to be filed within 90 days of the incident. To file a claim, you can call Asurion at 888-881-2622 or file your claim online here:https://www.asurion.com/phoneclaim/verizon. In addition, you will have 30 days to return an upgrade. When processing an upgrade, you will have to pay taxes for the device in most cases. Do you recall how much you paid? What state are you located in?

Hi yes I paid $1,145.19 back in December 29, 2022 when I lost my iPhone. This includes the buy out of previous phone plus looks like upgrade down payment on the new iPhone. Ever since then looks like I have paid monthly payment to the new iPhone and recently had to pay outright another $600+ to pay off the iPhone and have my own plan with Verizon. Could you please please help me and facilitate with your separate insurance company on my behalf to make this right. It has been an awful experience with Verizon, insurance company and the Verizon store so far with warranty and I refrain from buying any warranty service

As an update and for my 3rd time trying to work with Verizon. They couldn't do anything and wasted another hour, it is unbelievable Verizon does not back the customer and with the Verizon Store misleading me by an upgrade option instead of a insurance replacement option this is awful and unethical.
For the record this was not resolved after private messaging with Verizon.

If it is true that Verizon employees messed up with this insurance/replacement phone claim, why not simply reimburse the OP for the costs they shouldn't have been paying?

Would be amazing if Verizon would make this right but I been on Verizon customer stories for a few hours and past few weeks to no luck. They said oops Verizon store shouldn’t have done it but you still have to pay off the phone
would be great if a Verizon customer service rep can look into this

I still don't understand. Unless there's a statute of limitations on when the insurance claim can be filed, seems like the claim should be submitted so you can be reimbursed for the phone. You may have to file a complaint with an outside agency to get it resolved, unfortunately. Sad that a large company is so rough to deal with...

My husband and daughter just had the worst experience at the store in Hamilton Town Center in Noblesville. A man named Francisco was very rude, made a public display of embarrassing my husband and daughter and made my daughter cry. They were just trying to upgrade phones. I’ve been. He refused to give the information for the manager, instead he kicked my husband and daughter out.
I have been with Verizon for 12 years. This is unacceptable.
