Verizon WiFi Calls in Home

We recently cut the cable and our land line on the promise of 5G service and WiFi calling on our new iPhones.

Since then, we have had a terrible time receiving, placing and holding calls in our home.

First, the local cell service is intermittent in our area (near a public elementary school), from 2 bars to no bars.  That issue has been raised with no action or follow-up from Verizon.

Second, we have 1G FiOS Internet and a brand new mesh AI WiFi network extender.   Solid coverage in every corner of our home.  However, our phones often fail to receive calls, are unable to place calls, and drop calls regularly after a couple of minutes.  We have tried troubleshooting everything from phone S/W updates, switching Airplane Mode on/off, switching from 5G to LTE, resetting the router, switching to the FiOS WiFi (vice mesh) signal, etc. and NOTHING works.  Some sources indicate it may be a Verizon settings issue of some time in their FiOS infrastructure?

This poor service is unacceptable.  It is impairing our ability to conduct business from our home offices, and it is a significant safety concern.

I'm sorry to hear you are having problems with dropped calls and Wifi not working. We would love to look into this with you. What zip code are you in? Does service improve outside the home? -Joe

My zip code is 21108.

There is virtually no cell coverage within about a mile of my home, so call connections don't help outside the home.

When I'm in an area with strong cell coverage, there is no issue with connectivity.  The only issue is when relying on WiFi

We're sorry for any issues you have encountered. We want to help as much as we can. What device are you currently using? To make sure we're on the same page, you're having issues with your Wi-Fi connection?
