Need to activate iPhone SE from Walmart, Verizon version. Transfering existing phone number. Tried the new sim card that came with it and the old Sim card. Won't activate. Can't get a hold of anyone at Verizon. Trying to set up for my mom at night when I'm not working. Tried online activatation but it thought it was from a new carrier as it wouldn't let me transfer the number.
Any suggestions?
We can definitely help you here. If the iPhone SE purchased was a prepaid device, it will be locked until prepaid service is activated through it. Is the phone it is replacing still turned on?

A rep can activate just the sim card that came with a prepaid phone to bypass that. Asking a customer to pay for a prepaid plan for an arbitrary lock is pretty scammy.
