There are iPads for sale on craigslist and ebay. However, I need one that can be connected to Verizon.
Verizon docs say "Carriers typically use different frequencies and air interface technologies to provide wireless network access. Accordingly, a device that works on one carrier’s network may not be technologically compatible with another carrier’s network."
What are the chances that a used, refurbed "unlocked" 4G iPad will work with Verizon? All the seller says is "4G".
As long as its a CDMA technology using the 4G LTE spectrum of VzW it will work... the real question is whether they will activate on their network.
"4G" is too broad of a term as all carriers have some kind of 4G.
You can message a seller and ask for model number or previous carrier.
Purchases on eBay are guaranteed to be as advertised or you can get your money back and return an item.
I do not think Craiglist offers such a garantee.
