I have one smart phone, an Apple 4 (not 4S), and one regular type phone on my account. Both were - and should still be - eligible for an upgrade price, but now, all of a sudden, I see that they are no longer listed as upgradeable and, my contract period has been extended. I never agreed to a new contract, and I never got the benefit of an upgrade. I am not happy about this.
Does anyone know why or how this happened without my authorization?
you state you have 2 lines. I would start by asking the person that owns the 2nd line.
Do you have any authorized users? Vzw *611 can tell you if someone purchased a new phone on your line or atleast what made your upgrade be out.
Thanks for your reply be yesterday when I called we (Verizon and I) discovered that my account had been hacked. A fraud report was completed, my account put back to 'normal' and I have filed an FCC report.
Thanks so much for following up!
I am still shocked about this.
