I had a beat up old 4S and I came to find out people were responding to my texts but I was not getting them. Today, I bought a 6S and am having the same problem so it must not be a problem with the phone.
What is the problem and what can I do to fix it?
I have had the same issue with my iPhone 5s. There are 4 people that I know of that can't read my texts. I can receive theirs, but they can't receive mine. These individuals have androids and iPhones and they are with various providers, Including Verizon. It's extremely frustrating that the issue has not been solved. It has to be on my end because the last person to not receive my texts used to just a few weeks ago. This has happened even after I replaced my iPhone. Any help would seriously be appreciated.
drharps,
Let's see if we can get those important messages coming back in. We know that a missed message can be a big problem during times of emergency. Are these missing messages from the same people? Do you know if the messages are being sent as iMessage or carrier SMS?

Amelia, were and of these people previously using a iPhone and then switched to an Android? If so there could be an issue with de-registering iMessages on their end? I think there was some issue with that.
