I added another I phone to my account. My incoming texts go to his phone instead of mine.

As others stated this is typically a result of sharing the same AppleID. If you Google the subject you will see other solutions for calls and messages such as toggling off FaceTime to avoid the same calls coming in. I'd highly suggest different AppleIDs and then setup Family Sharing. My family loves this feature.
Each phone needs to have it's own Apple ID.

Does each iPhone have their own Apple ID? If not, you will need to sign out of the Apple ID you have & enter in your own Apple ID. Please let us know after this is done, if you are still runnning into this trouble.
