Why is the thread about UPS losing trade in phones locked!

I am having the same issue as the many subscribers in that thread. I never would of updated a like new phone if i thought I would be ripped off and given the run around by Verizon. $800  is a lot of money to me. Has any one had this issue resolved? If so ,please give me some help. Thanks
