I live in Alaska, I have had verizon service for 4 years with no problems except that when I reset my phone I have to send it somewhere there is verizon service in order to dial *228. Is there any option to activate a phone while it is on an extended network? Verizon says No and that they are sorry, I don't feel I am getting the "worry free" garuntee advertised by verizon. They said it was my problem good bye.
Some phones will let the user get access to programming menus to manually activate the phone. I highly doubt that Apple allows users access similar menus on their products considering the locked down nature of the iOS.
I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.
