block messaging spam

I received a spam message selling sunglasses. How do I block such spam?

Help has arrived! What short code number is sending these  text messages? Have you replied to these messages stating STOP ALL or CANCEL SUBSCRIPTION?

I did’t want to respond in case that caused our spam to mushroom from this unsolicited seller’s contacts. Not sure what short code number you mean.

Forward the message to SPAM (7726) and follow the instructions in the reply.

1) Go here: My Verizon Online Sign In - Verizon Wireless

2) Find the Internet Spam Blocking

3) Click View Details & Edit

4) Find the Message Blocking Preferences

5) Click the box for Block all text messages sent from email.

6) Click Apply

Nope, that doesn't work. I've done this and am still getting texts from emails.

If the sender sends the spam to 20 people at one time you can't forward the message.
