Brand new iPhone SE3 upgrade from SE1 . Now I can not send a text to my gmail account. IOS 17.1.1 But it sends to other emails addresses I have.
I just got a new SE3 the other day and now it won't send a text to my Gmail in box. I am able to send from my Gmail TO the new iPhone using the @vztext and the @vzwpix email extensions. I can send a text to another email account other that Gmail and it goes through as a SMS. But since the Gmail account is my main account I can not send it as a MMS. If I turn that off in Settings> message it will not work. They just go out to nothing land and i get a red ! on the message icon.
If I turn off I-message. It says, Cannot send message i-message must be enabled.
If I turn on my old iPhone and have on device sharing. The messages only go to it. So they are sitting on a server somewhere.
But before it completely stopped working today. I noticed when sending to Gmail the text would show up in the "all mail" folder and not in my "in box". But now that has stopped receiving messages also.
My mail app works fine.
Any help will help.
I have been working on this problem for several hours.

We're sorry to hear that you're having problems sending texts to your e-mail. As a heads up, due to the nature of text to e-mail, Verizon can't guarantee the receipt or delivery of those texts. We'd still like to help, though. We're going to send you a Private Note shortly.
