eSim any drawbacks?

Guys  - any drawbacks switching to eSim when traveling? I do often use Verizon travel pass when roaming in diferent countries so is it possible that one of the country carriers doesn't support or recognize eSim causing an issue?

Thanks

Esim works just like regular sim.  You turn on and off in cellular settings.  A local  eSim is typically MUCH cheaper than Verizon's travel pass unless it is only for a day or two (or if included in your Verizon plan).  The only downside to an Esim is that you will not receive calls or texts under your Verizon number.   Apps like WhatsApp will work fine (just leave them assigned to your Verizon phone number when you turn on the Esim).   Also turn on Esim on flight over assuming you purchased in advance.  This will prevent travel pass from kicking in!
