How can I change my voicemail greeting on an IPhone 5?

HI, that's where I thought I could make the change, but when I get to the PHONE page all I see is:

My number, contact photos in favorites, respond with text, blocked, TTY change voicemail password, dial assistant,SIM Pin,Verizon services...

It's not in settings/phone, but in the phone app itself.  Bring up the phone as you would for making a call.  At the bottom of the screen, you have favorites, recents, contacts, keypad, voice mail. Mclick on voice mail. Now click in greeting upper left corner.  Click on custom (if not already clicked), and press record.

I can get to the point where it say custom and default but it won't do anything it like its frozen. I can't change between custom and default and nothing happens when I push record. They are highlighted blue but nothing activates it. Even reset the network settings and still like a frozen screen : (

Being able to configure your voicemail box as needed is very important, Cyndiblack63. I too would be just as bummed out with what is occurring with your device.

By chance, have you tried dialing *86 from your phone, in order to access the voicemail box? You should be able to change your greeting this way.
