im travelling in S.korea and all i want to do is use the wifi portion ive contacted vzw and they said to
celluar data off
data roaming on
wifi enabled
and im still not able to connect to the internet this is on my wifes 4s but on my i phone 4
with
cellular data off
data roaming off
wifi enabled
im able to connect to the internet
???
also on my i phone 4 says no service and the 4s says roaming
When I took a n overseas trip couple of years ago I just put on the airplane mode + wifi on and had no trouble accessing internet and other apps. Maybe give that a shot. This was on AT&T but I don't see why that would not work on Verizon or any other carrier since you are not using the phone/data plans.
Hi Kichigai808. You can use your phone in South Korea on my WiFi by turning on Airplane Mode and WiFi. Once you arrive in S. Korea you will be able to to scan for a WiFi network and connect.
