i recently got wife in my home with unlimited data. why is my phone still being charged data?

I recently got wifi in my home with unlimted data.  My phone automatically turns on to the wife when i walk in, but i just noticed that there is date charges still being posted to my phone?

Have you connected the phone to home wifi? 

Have you changed settings on the phone to default to wifi?

What phone do you have?

your phone will still use cellular data when you are not at home.

Cell phones still default to best connection.  How good is the home wifi?

When the screen turns off after a certain amount of time WiFi turns off. It is documented on Apple forums(this affects ALL iDevices).
