No one likes their phone randomly dropping in a conversation including myself. I am here to help you so you can stay connected. Does this happen in one place or multiple? When did this start? May I have the nearest intersection and zip code? -AmberF_VZW

I appreciate you taking the time that you have to troubleshoot. I see that you mentioned that we were sending new SIM cards. Have you had the opportunity to receive these yet?

Got it. Your 5G device will need a 5G SIM Card in order to connect to 5G. If you still have a 4G SIm Card in your phone, this could be why you have been experiencing these issues.

I have an iphone 12 and get areas where there is no LTE. The SIM card came from an iphone 8 plus. It had the exact same issues with the same SIM. The new iphone 12 was updated to the newest ios (14.4.1) data reinstalled from the cloud. My iphone SE (2017) has full bars and LTE available in the exact same area of town as the the iphone 12, that has no LTE (downtown 97330). Turning off wifi did help in one instance. So putting an old SIM into a 5G capable phone is not an answer I think is necessarily correct.

harriska2,
I appreciate you reaching out regarding the service issues on your iPhone 12 Pro Max. I'd be wondering why I wasn't getting any service as well if I were in your shoes, so let's get a resolution in place for you. To ensure the proper connection and provisioning on your 5G iPhone, it's best to have the proper SIM Card installed in the device to make sure you're getting peak performance. The fastest way to get this replaced is visiting any of our company stores (http://spr.ly/6602Hs89k - * Verizon Company Store & † Authorized Retailer) and we'll replace the SIM Card free of charge. Otherwise, we can ship one to you. If you prefer us to ship it, please let us know and we'll chat in a more private setting here.

Did you reset the network settings? I got a 12 Pro Max last week and did the reset shortly after I got it set up. It receives as well as my previous 11Pro and my wife's 12. Just and idea. Good luck.

Predator7, thanks for the response. Making sure that you have nothing but stellar service on your iPhone's is important. There is a good suggestion on resetting your Network Settings in the phone. Have you done this steps on your phone? You can do that by going to Settings, General, Reset and Reset Network Settings. Resetting network settings on your Apple® iPhone® resets Wi-Fi networks and passwords, cellular settings and VPN settings. KevinR_VZW
