My entire family cant get 5G uw to work at all. In the UW areas we get no data at all. Phones don’t auto switch to LTE or basic 5G, they just quit working.
if I manually select LTE. All the phones work fine. All phones ar iPhone 12 Pro with latest software installed.

I'm having the exact same issue. It used to work without issues about 1-2 months ago, but now everytime I go into a 5G UW area I get no service (which I pay extra for). If I switch my iPhone 12 Pro to LTE I have no issues. This is the twin cities area. Near my home at 55044 and in downtown Minneapolis 55102. They are 30 miles apart. I get the same in Apple Valley, 55124 and Rosemount 55068. There isn't a place in the twin cities I've been that my 5G UW works. It used to work all over the twin cities and the country.

CALTECHNOLOGIESLLC, we understand that there are some concerns when it comes to 5G and 5G UW. While we are working on a fix for this, the manual switching of networks is the workaround. With those two networks, there are areas that may have both and then others that may only have one. We do offer 5G as apart of your plan at no additional cost due to this being a new technology that was released. I would like to send you a link that gives more information about 5G:

I can't use 5G because it won't switch from 5G UW to 5G. Its either 5G where there is no UW or use LTE. If 5G UW exists I can ONLY use LTE, which means I'm paying $90 a month for your slowest service. Since 5GUW is everywhere I go now, I am stuck using LTE only.

How are you aware of where 5GUW is located? For instance, have you ever gotten 5GUW on your device before? Especially in this area?

This has been going on forever and the real answer is that they do not know. They can have you reset your network settings, tell you switch networks, etc. but ultimately Verizon is fleecing us all by having us pay for a service that is mostly not functional. I think a class-action suit against them is coming shortly similar to when AT&T got sued for charging for services they were not actually allowing customers to have. I have been on the fence with Verizon for a while, but I think this issue is the final straw for me and I will be looking for a way to switch to a new carrier.

I've never posted before but it looks like that other thread may be closed? I can't figure out how to post on that thread. Anyway, it seems like people have some success getting help from VZW support by posting here, so I am reaching out for help. Have the same problem - as soon as 5G UW kicks in, internet connections stop. Has happened in NYC (my home), and when out and about in CT and Dallas. Can someone please reach out to me? Thanks!

we had excellent coverage until just recently when the 5gUW icon started showing up.
