iPhone 15 not receiving calls

Just moved service from ATT to Verizon and got new iPhone 15 Pro Max.  Phone makes calls, sends/receives texts but will not receive incoming calls.  When someone calls me, it goes straight to vm.

I hope the help note from Verizon is not all about phone settings. I have an X and mine stopped ringing for calls a week ago. No settings were changed. Then our other iPhone 11 stopped ringing for calls. A friend (model unknown) iPhone stopped ringing for calls yesterday. So, clearly, it is not the setting on the phone. My wife and I have had our phones for a couple of years. So we know the settings.  Apple blames Verizon and the Verizon tech I spoke with on the phone blames apple. So we are stuck in the middle.

I have called and called and I cannot receive phone calls when I am in my house. I also cannot make them without walking outside. My service is the worst - strong enough to keep me from WiFi taking over. Not strong enough to make or receive calls. I constantly have people telling me calls didn’t go through. Not even to voicemail. No missed call indicators. We have tested it in the same room…nothing worst phone and service ever.

I’m having the exact same issues. I even upgraded my phone early thinking that would fix the issue. No incoming calls whatsoever when I’m in my home and no missed call notifications.

We want to make sure that you're enjoying the switch over to Verizon and we're going to get to the bottom of this. Did you port your phone number from AT&T? If so, please call this number to check that the port was completed successfuly: 888.844.7095. We also have a troubleshooting guide you can use here: https://www.verizon.com/support/devices/#mobile Please search your phone and select the "Unable to receive calls" option. Having the same issue since changing to iPhone 15 a few months ago.  Been with Verizon for over 10 years and never had this issue before.  Yesterday was the worse. Wife called on her iPhone 13, from right out side our house, 4 times and I never received the calls.  No missed or received calls on my phone.  Would switching from 5g to lte fix this?

Robbob707, sorry you were having issues with missed calls there, especially from the spouse. Certianly that's something we can look at together. To get a few more details can you confirm for me where you were when you were trying to get the calls. I don't need an address just trying to understand if your indoors/outdoors or at home yourself.

I  was indoors in front of house and wife was calling right outside.  Basically a wall was separating us.

Hi, your issue is different than the other posters in this thread where their service wasn't working properly after porting in to Verizon.  If you used to have an Android phone but now use an iPhone, maybe it's just a settings issue.  See the tips here:

https://support.apple.com/en-us/118427

P.S. - I don't know where it is in the iPhone settings to make sure your regular phone calls are going through LTE, but you want your calls to go through LTE and not 5G because Verizon still uses their LTE side of the network for regular phone calls.  FaceTime or other video calling uses data, so that's going through 5G if available, but don't disable LTE completely on the phone.  I'd recommend having the phone on 5G Auto for the network setting, unless 5G service is atrocious for you everywhere you go, in which case set your network for LTE.

Same issues! I regret getting and IPhone and regret staying with Verizon. We have the worst coverage- good enough to keep the phone from defaulting to WiFi. So bad that I don’t get calls and most I try to make fail.

This is never the way we want you to feel, and we want to make sure your phone is up and running. When did this problem start? What is your ZIP code?
