iPhone 6 Plus apps opening randomly and quickly

My iphone 6 Plus went berzerk and changes from one app to another in 1-3 seconds.  I'm unable to even text bc apps are constantly opening, closing and shifting all around the screen?

I also have an issue of my phone randomly calling someone in my contacts w/o my input, as well as creating Send to: texts and seconds later, going to a different app.

I read something about the digitizer going bad.  Does anyone know about this problem or make a recommendation, please?

It is a must that you have a working phone. Let's see what's causing the issues with applications opening on their own and the random phone calls. What is the current software version? Is there any physical or moisture damage?
