Last year with the iPhone 6, Verizon allowed an early edge upgrade if you had a phone with Verizon for at least 12 months. One phone on our account took advantage of this while we brought other phones to the account and signed two year contracts. Well now we have lines coming up on 12 months and my question is will we be able to upgrade and go to the edge program? Or will we not know until after sep 9?
That most likely depends on Apple's input on the subject. It is unlikely Verizon was allowed to make that offer without Apple's approval as they are not keen on early upgrades. That was a major design change from the 5S to the 6. This is not going to be such a big change and will unlikely be allowed the same type of incentives for purchase.
