iPhone XS crashing frequently

Phone worked fine for a year, then recently started crashing spontaneously. I followed the iPhone XS troubleshooting guidelines on Verizon ultimately performing the full restore to factory and restored data from iTunes, no improvement. I see many apps become unresponsive. Even the iPhones settings may come up with a blank screen. Device does not have to been in use to crash. I have seen it crash while sitting on the charger and it has plenty of charge.
