My 82 year old father just got tricked as well. His wife's phone wouldn't charge so she took it to the Apple store, they fixed it, and told her to go to the store to have it activated. While an associate was working on that a salesman came over and told my dad about the promo for a new iphone 15 "for free." He said they both could get this new phone and pay the taxes only. The paper he signed, he was told, was only about the taxes, and that is ALL he was told. However, what he wasn't told (and yes, it was in the paperwork he signed, yes that is one him, but when he went back and also called customer service they would not help him, more in a minute) that this is for a 36 month contract with a higher cost plan than he had. Another wrinkle, and why they say they cannot give him his plan back is that he had a grandfathered plan that they have had for years and they say they cannot get that back. I know there is someone, somewhere that can reistate that plan . Yes, it is his fault for not reading the paperwork; I am shocked he did not because he is usually careful. We are headed back to the store later, where I expect he will receive no help, and then I am on to customer service. I am so mad I could spit! This is disgraceful to do to anyone and borders on fraud.

We definitely want to take a look at your situation. When did this occur? Did they trade in any devices when completing this transaction? ~Peter
