ios6 update iphone 4 too slow

I did the update thru itunes after backing up.  Everything worked fine in the update.  Now, for the bad part-I want my old ios back.  My phone sucks now.  Slow responses to opening anything, apps that don't work, internet slow and phone service is terrible.  What happened????  I am very disappointed in this update.  After researching, I felt maybe it was going to be a great thing, but it really didn't help my iphone 4 in anyway but to make it slower.  My wife's iphone 4s so far has been great.  If you haven't done an update, I would recommend waiting until the bugs are all out.  Tried to call verizon, but they are way too busy, wonder why....bad ios update.  would like to find out what is being done about all this.

My mother updated her iPhone 4 and has not had any of the issues you mentioned. Have you tried resetting to see if that helps?

Did you back up to OLD phone or identify it as a NEW phone?  I thought that was a little confusing at first, but when I checked new phone everything went through at lightening fast speeds.  Not one issue.

Even if you did it as a new phone later on I think it would know that the software is the 6.0. You can't unring the bell after it rung for example if you diwnload an update it wont let you go back unless your lucky abd replace it with onecwithout it. it cant be unrung or reversed. downloading it even if you restore and not back it up it won't remove the software. I'm pretty sure.

Make sure your not running a lot in the background.

My iPhone 4 CRASHED, upon updating the software. I had to connect to iTunes to save the actual phone, itself!! Mine's actually a bit faster, now. I called Verizon when it happened. I also called AppleCare...Both pointed the finger at the other, with this matter. In the end, neither were wanting to deal with helping me. Thank GOD I'd downloaded iTunes!!

I have had the SAME issue with Verizon. Last week I was calling them each day to complain about the changes that are occurring with my phone. The final factor, they are sending me another Iphone 4 because verizon is assuming that it may just be a "factory settings issue". I personally think that this is an Apple thing. They should have made this update for all newer models: Iphone 4, 4S, 5!!!! SMH

Hey loanboy. Glad the update went through smooth, but let's get you loving the update itself since the iOS 6 update can't be undone once it's been completed. There's been some great suggestions already on trying the reset on the phone to get it running faster. I would suggest working through the great steps Apple provides in this article: http://www.apple.com/support/iphone/assistant/phone

The article doesn't only resolve issues with freezing or unresponsive screens, but really helps to provide a resolution for many quirky issues that appear after installing applications or updates.

I'm sure you'll be able to enjoy the update soon. Let us know if you need any more help.
