I did the latest update last week on my phone (18ios) and ever since, I have not been able to receive or send text messages to android users. I keep getting the message "not delivered" and having to send it through sms. I can't receive any pictures messages from android users, I never even know they send me anything unless they call to tell me. I tried calling Verizon and was on the phone with the tech department for an hour, they tried everything and can't figure it out. I've reset the network settings, turned airplane mode on and off, turned off and on mms, sms, rcs. Nothing works, and I'm really starting to get frustrated especially being a pay for service and it's not working. Please help!!

Hello, EZippo10, sorry to hear you're running into some issues after updating the software on your phone! You mentioned you are seeing an error message when trying to send a text to Android users and you have to send as SMS. Can you please clarify what is happening that is allowing to send via SMS? We appreciate you troubleshooting the issue with us previously. Is the only reset completed the Reset Network Settings?

When I send a message to an android user, a red exclamation comes up and says not delivered. Then gives me the option to try again or send as sms. Once I send it as sms it goes through. But the other problem is if the android user sends me a picture, I don't receive it.
Yes, the only reset completed was the network settings by Verizon

Thanks for sharing. Now if you've installed iOS 18 have you checked to see if the new RCS option has been enabled? You can check that by, going to Settings. Then select Messages. Once there, find Text Messaging and see if the RCS option is on (green) if not, activate that. Once that's done, please try some texting with the people you know are using Android.

I've already done that, and it still doesn't work.
