I recently, last week upgraded to IOS 17. Since doing so my visual voicemail has not been working. I am getting voicemails but no longer get the text versions of the voicemails. I have restarted my phone. I have looked to confirm that the visual voicemail looks to be active. I do not know what else to do.

rglewisjr, being able to read a voicemail without having to listen to it is handy. That feature is called Live Voicemail and can be checked on your iPhone to make sure It's enabled. Apple has a info page about that here: https://support.apple.com/en-mide/105066
They have the path to check in Settings there, to make sure Live Voicemail is on. If it's off, you can use that to turn it back on.

Thanks for your reply, but this did not address the issue. The issue is not the live voicemail that apple provides.
My concern is that the premium visual voicemail that Verizon cells as a upgrade is not correctly functioning. I am no longer getting texts of the transcribed incoming voicemail. I am being charged $2.99 monthly by Verizon for this function. It is not currently working.

Thank you for sharing details with us, rglweisjr. You do pose an interesting question, as iPhone uses a special voicemail provisioning, and typically wouldn't work with Premium Visual Voicemail, as that is usually reserved for Android devices. Transcription is something that is already included with Apple Visual Voicemail as John pointed out, and doesn't require another paid feature. Since Premium Visual Voicemail isn't required, it could be causing a conflict with Apple Live Voicemail. You can remove this through your My Verizon account under the Manage My Products section. Once it is removed, please let us know if Live Voicemail starts working again.
