That is indeed odd that your phone remains locked after 2 years, boblab. I know I would share this concern myself as devices are normally unlocked automatically 60-days after activation. Having the same issue with a very old iPhone5s. Been several years since I had a Verizon account. But won’t accept new sim card for Tracfone account. Tracfone says phone is still locked with Verizon.
